KELT-1 b is a Gas Giant exoplanet (a massive planet composed primarily of hydrogen and helium), about 12.4 times the radius of Earth. The planet completes one orbit around its star every 29 hours. It was discovered in 2012 using the transit method. It orbits the star KELT-1, located approximately 268 parsecs (876 light-years) from Earth.
