With an equilibrium temperature of 315 K (42°C), it lies within the habitable zone where liquid water could potentially exist on its surface. The planet completes one orbit around its star every 12.8 Earth days. It was discovered in 2024 using the transit method. It orbits the M-type star Gliese 12, located approximately 12 parsecs (40 light-years) from Earth.
